| Smell | Smell is nice, dominated by sweet caramel malt with a whiff of alcohol. | ||||
| Appearance | Clear, dark mahogany with a clingy 1/2" head. | ||||
| Taste | Does not taste as good as it smells. The sweet caramel malt is there but it is quickly replaced by a stinging alcohol burn. The 8.8. abv is not masked very well. Mouthfeel was sticky and syrupy with not much carbonation. | ||||
| Comments | This is simply a style of beer (American Strong Ale) I do not care for. I'm sure it would be more enjoyable on a cold winter evening. I love the name...I have received many. | ||||
