Blue Moon Belgian White

Blue Moon Brewing Company (aka Coors)
Blue Moon Belgian White
Golden, Colorado
4/25/2009, on tap at Chammps, 5.4 abv

Smell

Pleasant with a little orange and spice

Appearance

Cloudy yellow with a slight orange hue with 1/2" head

Taste

Slightly sweet with hints of wheat and citrus. Very soft feel makes it easy to drink. Nice tingly carbonation.

Comments

The beer snobs will laugh at me, but I really like this beer, with or without an orange slice. Hard to believe this comes from the brewers of Coors Light.

  2. Agreed! Blue Moon is a favorite whipping boy of the craft brew zealots but for a mass produced beer it's darned good and is probably a common gateway beer for folks wanting to step away from drinking only macrobrew products. Blue Moon gets a bad rap.

  3. Agreed w/ Michael - Blue Moon was the start of my realization that there's better beer out there - about 8 years ago in college. I love it and always will. I can't stand it when people say Shock Top is better, to me there's no contest.
