| Smell | The aroma is roasty with a little chocolate and citrus. | ||||
| Appearance | Very dark brown with some ruby highlights around the edges and a light tan head. | ||||
| Taste | One wouldn't think that roasted malt with chocolate and coffee flavors wouldn't work well with bitter, hoppy grapefruit flavors, but it does. My favorite Black IPA to date, although I've only had one other. | ||||
| Comments | Heavy Seas (formerly Clipper City) also makes Loose Cannon. While Black is nice, Loose is my favorite cannon. | ||||
